DOMINICAN LEAGUE
Tigres del Licey  5,  Toros del Este  3  —
Indy area native LF Jake Fox contributed to two 2-run innings for Los Tigres.  A single, a bunt, and a fielder’s choice gave Los Tigres’ their first run in the bottom of the 1st.  Fox singled, moving another runner to third base, and a sacrifice fly by DH Timo Perez drove in the second run.  Fox also stole second base and advanced to third base on a throwing error on the steal attempt.  In the 3rd, a single, a walk, and two wild pitches put two runners into scoring position for Fox, whose RBI single drove in the lead runner.  Perez’s second sacrifice fly of the game brought in the second run of this inning too.  Fox also walked in Los Tigres’ 7th inning one-run rally.  Former Pirate Denny Bautista pitched 2 scoreless innings for Los Tigres, allowing only a double.

Leones del Escogido  8,  Aguilas Cibaenas  4 —  Los Aguilas scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st, but then Los Leones roared back with 8 unanswered runs over the next four innings.  Starling Marte entered the game as a defensive replacement in right field in the top of the 9th, where he made one out.
