Minor League Moves: Lambo, Trinidad

Published:

Lambo has been demoted to AA.

A few moves this afternoon in the minor league system:

-Andrew Lambo has been demoted from Indianapolis to Altoona, in order to make room for Josh Rodriguez.  Lambo had been really struggling, with a .184/.257/.292 line in 185 at-bats at the AAA level.  He was just 4-for-40 in the month of June.  At 22 years old, it’s not a huge blow to Lambo’s career, although this definitely drops his stock.

-The Pirates have assigned three draft picks to State College: 21st round pick Alex Fuselier, 22nd round pick Mike Jefferson, and 33rd round pick Chris Lashmet.  Michaelangel Trinidad has been released to make room on the State College roster.
