With the signings of Erik Bedard and Nate McLouth being made official, the following updates have been made to the site:
–The 2012 40-man roster/payroll page has been updated. The current projected salary is $43.2 M.
–The Future Payroll Chart has been updated, adding Bedard and McLouth, and removing Pedro Ciriaco and Jason Jaramillo.
–The off-season transaction page has been updated.
-A note on Ciriaco and Jaramillo, who were both designated for assignment to make room for the moves: they were both out of options, which meant they would have had to make the opening day roster or be designated for assignment at that point. If they clear waivers, the Pirates can outright them to AAA and keep them in the system even if they don’t win a job in Spring Training.
