The pitchers in major league camp are doing their throwing programs right now on field four. Looks like they’re set up for live batting practice here in a bit.

A lot of pitchers will be throwing bullpens in minor league camp today. Here is the list: Colten Brewer, Jake Burnette, Colton Cain, Zac Fuesser, Tyler Glasnow, Ryan Hafner, Clayton Holmes, Mike Jefferson, Nick Kingham, Aaron Poreda, Trent Stevenson, Hunter Strickland, Jameson Taillon, Zack Von Rosenberg, Tyler Waldron, Michael Colla, Logan Pevny, Eliecer Navarro, Justin Ennis, Orlando Castro, Tim Alderson, Brian Leach, Zach Foster, Bryce Weidman, Vincent Payne, Rinku Singh, Matt McSwain, Kevin Decker, Mike Loree, Jason Creasy, Cliff Archibald, Porfirio Lopez.

I’ll have more updates throughout the day.

UPDATE 10:34 AM: I’m sitting out next to the field watching some base running drills. The position players practiced running from home to second for a double. They followed that up with trying to score from second. That was followed by home to third for a triple. That drill seemed so natural for Andrew McCutchen, yet so unnatural for guys like Rod Barajas. They finished up by tagging up and scoring. Almost all of the players just crossed the plate. McCutchen sprinted home and slid across home plate.

UPDATE 11:05 AM: Batting practice just started. Garrett Jones, Neil Walker, Michael McKenry, Clint Barmes, and Jose Tabata are hitting on the field in front of me.

UPDATE 3:40 PM: The following minor league players will be making their way over to McKechnie Field tomorrow to serve as backups and late inning replacements for the inter-squad game: Brock Holt, Brian Friday, Jarek Cunningham, Charlie Cutler, Elias Diaz, Andrew Lambo, Mel Rojas Jr. There could be a few others heading over in addition to these players.
