Walker Cleared to Play

Published:

Second baseman Neil Walker took batting practice at McKechnie Field today and said afterwards in the clubhouse that he was okay and cleared to resume play.

Walker was scratched from the lineup on Wednesday due to low back tightness.

Walker is currently slated to be a replacement in today’s 1:05 game against the Minnesota Twins. He is also in the starting lineup for tomorrow’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays in Port Charlotte. Walker will bat cleanup.
