Minor Moves: Allie Returns to West Virginia, Alderson Promoted

Published:

The West Virginia Power made several moves today, some of which were the usual paper moves. One of the moves wasn’t a typical paper move, as Stetson Allie was added to the active roster.

Allie made one start with West Virginia, which went horribly. He was then removed from the roster after experiencing tightness in his elbow, due to pitching in the cold weather. He wasn’t injured, and immediately went on a throwing program. His return means that he’s ready to return to the mound.

West Virginia also added Mike Jefferson and Orlando Castro to the roster. Both pitchers were “demoted” to State College last week, which was a paper move to add some more pitchers to the over-worked West Virginia bullpen.

To make room for these moves, Porfirio Lopez and Josh Poytress were promoted to high-A Bradenton. Eric Avila was transferred to extended Spring Training.

UPDATE 11:43 AM: More moves throughout the system. Tim Alderson and Kris Johnson are promoted from Altoona to Indianapolis. Zach Foster and Jhonathan Ramos are promoted from Bradenton to Altoona.
