The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed right-handed pitcher Doug Salinas to a minor league deal, per Baseball America’s weekly transaction report. Salinas was released by the Texas Rangers after signing with them over the off-season, but failing to make any of their affiliates. He will likely serve as organizational depth in the lower levels for the Pirates. For more information, check out his player profile.
