Game Notes: Casey Sadler bounced back from his last outing, when he gave up six earned runs on ten hits in six innings. Sadler has pitched in to the seventh inning with three or fewer earned runs in four of his last six starts. Mel Rojas had a big day at the plate, with four hits. He had a three hit game a week ago, and is hitting for a .293 average in his last ten games. However, most of his hits have been singles, leading to a .658 OPS in that stretch.

Game Notes: Robby Rowland now has a 3.39 ERA in 71.2 innings this year, with a 35:19 K/BB ratio. He’s been a ground ball machine, with a 1.87 GO/AO ratio. This has been a huge improvement over last year in the rookie leagues, where he had an 8.07 ERA in 68 innings, with a 52:17 K/BB ratio. Gregory Polanco finished the month of July with a .406/.474/.604 line in 101 at-bats. Alen Hanson didn’t have as good of a night, with a .252/.313/.427 line in 103 at-bats in July.
