Here are the latest minor league transactions.
**Altoona has placed Jeff Inman and Justin Howard on the disabled list. Jason Townsend has been activated from the disabled list and Zach Thornton has been promoted from Bradenton.
**Bradenton added Cesar Lopez from extended Spring Training to replace Thornton. They also recently added Jhondaniel Medina to replace Quinton Miller, who was promoted to Altoona yesterday.
Tim started Pirates Prospects in 2009 from his home in Virginia, which was 40 minutes from where Pedro Alvarez made his pro debut in Lynchburg. That year, the Lynchburg Hillcats won the Carolina League championship, and Pirates Prospects was born from Tim's reporting along the way.
