The Pittsburgh Pirates made three roster moves this afternoon:
**They recalled Alex Presley from Triple-A Indianapolis.
**To make room for Presley, they’ve optioned Josh Harrison to Indianapolis.
**Chase d’Arnaud has been recalled from his rehab assignment, reinstated from the DL, and optioned to Indianapolis.
D’Arnaud was on the 60-day disabled list, and didn’t previously count toward the 40-man roster. That roster is currently at 40-men, so a corresponding move should be made. Maybe that’s why the Pirates have been adding Triple-A relief pitching depth all morning.
I don’t think they can release James MacDonald right nowBrian, but the EIEIO probably should be the one to go. And,after what I saw of J Mac on Memorial Day in Altoona, I really don’t see much hope for him in the future. 12 strikes out of 31 pitches ?!?
Yeah, they are claiming Ja McDonald has a blister but I’m not sure anymore.
It could be either one of the McDonald’s too.
I thought Mazzaro was going to be released at one point but now it looks like Zagurski. Who knew Mazarro would still be around and pitching well.
