According to the Altoona Mirror, right-handed pitcher Casey Sadler has been promoted to Indianapolis. Sadler had a 3.31 ERA in 130.1 innings with Altoona this year, along with a 67:42 K/BB ratio. The sinkerball pitcher didn’t strike out a lot of batters, but put up a strong 1.74 GO/AO ratio. Indianapolis is about to be raided for their starters, with guys like Brandon Cumpton, Kris Johnson, and Stolmy Pimentel expected to be promoted to Pittsburgh on Sunday. Sadler should help Indianapolis in the rotation for their playoff run, which starts next week.
