Max Moroff, 2B, Altoona – 9.85 RC

Stats: 10-for-23, 4 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 4 BB, 4 K

Notes: Moroff started hitting last weekend, sparked by a four hit game after Minor League Hitting Coordinator Larry Sutton was in town. Moroff continued his hitting, with at least one hit in all five games this past week, including his first homer of the season. He’s being aggressive early in the counts, and hitting to the opposite field with some pop in his bat, leading to four doubles and a triple in addition to his homer. The most impressive thing is that he has drastically cut down on his strikeouts from last year, while keeping the walk rate high. It’s still early, but Moroff is becoming a guy who might be having a breakout season.
