Amazing Performances From Glasnow, Bell, and Sampson This Week

Notes: Sampson was named the International League pitcher of the week for his start, and had the second best outing in the Pirates’ system this week. With Nick Kingham struggling due to the one big inning problem, Sampson could emerge as one of the top options to help the Pirates at the mid-season mark. So far on the year he has a 2.45 ERA in 29.1 innings, with a 31:10 K/BB ratio. The most impressive thing about this outing is that he only needed 75 pitches to get through seven shutout innings.
