Get a FREE Pirates Prospects Subscription In Time For Opening Day

Published:

The 2016 MLB season is about to begin, and the minor league season will start in less than a week. This year, Pirates Prospects will have writers covering every minor league affiliate, along with a few writers covering the big league club. We’ll have regular live coverage from the majors, all the way down to the DSL, which is something that no other outlet can say (actually, most stop after Pittsburgh). We averaged between 6-7 articles per day last year during the season, which makes this your best place for Pirates coverage.

This is the perfect time to subscribe to the site, so that you don’t miss out on everything we write this season. And the best way to subscribe would be through our sponsorship with DraftKings. We have an ongoing promotion where you get a free one-year Pirates Prospects subscription if you sign up as a new DraftKings member, deposit at least $5, and participate in a contest.

On Sunday, DraftKings is running a free Opening Day contest, with $5,000 in total prizes. If you don’t have a DraftKings account already, you can go here to join the contest (use that link) and set up a new account. Then, once you deposit at least $5 in your account, you can e-mail affiliates@draftkings.com and let them know you’ve completed the Pirates Prospects promotion. They will confirm your eligibility, and e-mail me for your free subscription code if you qualify.

Once again, to qualify:

  1. Be a new DraftKings member. You can’t have a previous account.
  2. Join the contest with this link and set up a new account.
  3. Deposit at least $5 in your account. You can use this money to enter other contests.
  4. E-mail affiliates@draftkings.com to let them know you’ve completed the steps.

This is by far the best offer to join the site. Pirates Prospects is already a value at $29.99 per year (which amounts to eight cents per day, or about a penny an article during the season). With this offer, you not only get a one year subscription with your DraftKings deposit of at least $5, but you also get to use the money you deposit to play daily fantasy sports games, just in time for the baseball season.

If you’re a current Pirates Prospects subscriber, you can still participate in this promotion. We’ll add the free year to the end of your current subscription (this is a great option for those of you who haven’t renewed yet).

Also, after you complete the DraftKings promotion, we’ll give you the option of upgrading your free one-year subscription to our Top Prospect Plan for an extra $50. That also comes with the 2016 Prospect Guide for free, which is normally $25. That gives even more value from this promotion, giving you three years on the site, plus the free book, and a chance to try out DraftKings, all for $50 plus whatever you deposit into your DraftKings account.

If you have any questions about this promotion, e-mail me at tim@piratesprospects.com. Also, if you just want to subscribe to the site without the promotion, you can do that on our subscription page.
