The Milwaukee Brewers announced on Tuesday afternoon that they have claimed right-handed pitcher Rob Scahill off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates. Scahill was designated for assignment when the Pirates claimed Eric Fryer back on July 3rd.
Scahill had a 4.41 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP in 16.1 innings over 15 appearances this season. Last year, he posted a 2.64 ERA in 30.2 innings over 28 appearances, though he had a 1.60 WHIP, so the ERA was a bit deceiving. The Pirates acquired him in November 2014 in exchange for minor league pitcher Shane Carle.
Well isn’t this a change of scenery? The Pirates used to dumpster dive to get the ballteam a little better. Now, other bottom feeders are waiting for us to dispose of players. It feels good to be in the thick of things and to have a very talented farm system.
He is Triple A at best!!!! Not worried at all…good luck to him!! Wish him the best!!
well, so much for catching the Cubs now….
Maybe we can trade Niese to get him back.
Brewers will now know all of our signals. They’ll cut him after the series…
Oooh, I think Scahill has some good innings ahead of him.

Just hope its not against the black & gold.
This is a win/win, esp if we get to face him.
That’s cold bro
We always seem to get burned by guys who come back to face us…
Such as who?
Too bad the Cubs didn’t sign him
