Pirates Place Richard Rodriguez on Disabled List; Recall Dovydas Neverauskas

The Pittsburgh Pirates placed reliever Richard Rodriguez on the 10-day disabled list on Friday morning with right shoulder discomfort. To take his place on the roster, Dovydas Neverauskas has been recalled from Indianapolis.

Rodriguez has a 2.38 ERA in 22 appearances with the Pirates this season. In 22.2 innings, he has a 1.15 WHIP, a 1.75 FIP and 33 strikeouts.

Neverauskas pitched for the Pirates at the start of the season, allowing eight runs over 6.2 innings and seven appearances. In Indianapolis, he has a 1.17 ERA in 23 innings over 17 appearances, with 31 strikeouts and a .143 BAA. Neverauskas has allowed one run over his last 14.2 innings
