Live Discussion: Pirates at Giants 9:05 PM; Cervelli Leaves Early

The Pittsburgh Pirates (60-57) are in San Francisco for four games against the Giants (58-59). The Pirates will send Trevor Williams to the mound in game three of the series to face off against lefty Ty Blach, who has a 4.28 ERA in 94.2 innings, with 52 strikeouts and a 1.53 WHIP.

The bullpen got an overhaul before the game, with Buddy Boshers and Michael Feliz joining the team. Casey Sadler and Clay Holmes were sent out to Indianapolis.

John started working at Pirates Prospects in 2009, but his connection to the Pittsburgh Pirates started exactly 100 years earlier when Dots Miller debuted for the 1909 World Series champions. John was born in Kearny, NJ, two blocks from the house where Dots Miller grew up. From that hometown hero connection came a love of Pirates history, as well as the sport of baseball.
