Live Discussion: Pirates at Cardinals, 8:15 PM

The Pittsburgh Pirates (71-71) are on the road for three games against the St Louis Cardinals (79-64), starting tonight at 8:15 PM.

The Pirates trail by 12 games in the division and 7.5 games in the wild card race, with 20 games left on the schedule.

Trevor Williams gets the start tonight. He has allowed a total of four earned runs over his last 54.2 innings. Two of those runs came in five innings against the Cardinals on August 5th, but since then he threw six shutout innings against St Louis on August 29th.

The Cardinals are sending Adam Wainwright to the mound. He has been out since May with right elbow inflammation. He pitched 17 shutout innings in the minors over six rehab appearances since returning from his injury.
