Kyle Crick Activated from Injured List; Kevin Kramer Optioned to Indianapolis

Published:

The Pittsburgh Pirates have activated right-handed pitcher Kyle Crick from the 10-day injured list. To take his place on the active roster, second baseman Kevin Kramer was optioned to Indianapolis.

Krick pitched just two games before he landed on the injured list on April 5th with right triceps tightness. He tossed two scoreless innings without allowing a base runner in those two outings.

The Pirates will go with an extra bullpen arm for at least this two-game series tonight and tomorrow in Detroit. They have off again on Thursday. Kramer has been up since April 11th when Kevin Newman landed on the injured list, but he didn’t get into any games.
