Jordan Lyles Activated from Injured List; Geoff Hartlieb Optioned to Indianapolis

The Pittsburgh Pirates activated right-handed pitcher Jordan Lyles from the 10-day injured list. To make room on the 25-man roster, right-handed pitcher Goeff Hartlieb was optioned to Indianapolis.

Lyles has been out since leaving his start on June 8th early due to left hamstring tightness. He made a rehab start for Indianapolis six days ago, going 5.1 innings, with one run on two hits and three walks, while picking up seven strikeouts. He will be on the mound tonight against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Hartlieb has been with the Pirates since May 17th. In 14 relief appearances, he posted an 8.10 ERA in 20 innings, with a .333 BAA, 20 strikeouts and a 1.90 WHIP. He had a 3.32 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP in 19 innings with Indianapolis prior to being called up to the majors for the first time.
