The Pittsburgh Pirates activated right-handed pitcher Chris Stratton from the injured list prior to Tuesday’s game. To make room on the 25-man roster, right-handed pitcher Yefry Ramirez was optioned to Indianapolis.

Stratton has been out with right side discomfort since last pitching on May 24th. He made two rehab appearances with Indianapolis, allowing two earned runs on seven hits and a walk, with four strikeouts in four innings. Before going on the injured list, he had a 5.40 ERA and a 1.68 WHIP, with eight strikeouts in 8.1 innings/four appearances with the Pirates.

Ramirez joined the Pirates prior to Sunday’s game and didn’t not pitch.
