Pirates DVR: Andres Alvarez Home Run, Brendt Citta RBI, Wyatt Hendrie Triple

Welcome to the Pirates Prospects daily video rundown, where we pull some of the top videos of the Pittsburgh Pirates across the internet.

Daily Video Rundown

Andres Alvarez

Alvarez was able to draw 21 walks last month, a good testament to his plate discipline. He got right back into the power side of things the first day of July. He hit his 11th home run of the season for the Altoona Curve.

Brendt Citta

Altoona combined for a two-hit shutout on Friday, winning 6-0. Brendt Citta contributed to the four run seventh inning the Curve had to help seal the deal. The DH has 22 RBI on the season in Double-A after driving in a run on a single.

Wyatt Hendrie

The Bradenton Marauders were also able to come away on the winning side of things on Friday, escaping with a 5-3 victory over Tampa. Catcher Wyatt Hendrie opened up the scoring with this triple, which scored Sergio Campana.

Sergio Campana

Speaking of Campana, he had himself quite the game on Friday. Coming off the Development List, Campana went 4-for-4,  with two runs scored, a stolen base and this home run, his third of the season.

Bubba Chandler

We haven’t gotten to see much video of Bubba Chandler, but early returns of him as a two-way player have come very encouraging. Here is the video of the grand slam he hit on Thursday.

She knows, buddy. If a tree fell in the forest & she didn’t hear it, you’d still be wrong!

C’est vrai. Some things you must not type, must not say, and should not think.
