Daily Video Rundown

Liover Peguero

Peguero had a rough day in the field on Wednesday, committing two errors. He made up for it with the bat on Thursday, hitting his seventh home run of the season.

Tucupita Marcano

Marcano has settled in quite well in Triple-A since being sent to Indianapolis. The utility fielder has six extra-base hits in 11 games. He also has a seven game hitting streak as well.

Travis Swaggerty

It’s been a rough month for Travis Swaggerty, but he’s starting to turn things on as July is coming to a close. He has hits in four of the last five games, including a pair on Thursday. He picked up his seventh triple of the season in the sixth inning.

He picked up a two-run double later on in the eighth inning.

Andres Alvarez

The 25-year-old now has 15 home runs on the season, in just 73 games played.

Juan Jerez

Jerez hadn’t played first base in his professional career up to this season, and he’s actually handling it fairly well, making some great stops here and there. He’s struggled with the bat, but has come through here and there. One of those cases came on Thursday. He was credited with a double, eventually getting to third on the throw.

Anthony began writing over 10 years ago, starting a personal blog to cover the 2011 MLB draft, where the Pirates selected first overall. After bouncing around many websites covering hockey, he refocused his attention to baseball, his first love when it comes to sports. He eventually found himself here at Pirates Prospects in late 2021, where he covers the team’s four full season minor league affiliates.
