Tucupita Marcano
Marcano has settled in quite well in Triple-A since being sent to Indianapolis. The utility fielder has six extra-base hits in 11 games. He also has a seven game hitting streak as well.

Travis Swaggerty
It’s been a rough month for Travis Swaggerty, but he’s starting to turn things on as July is coming to a close. He has hits in four of the last five games, including a pair on Thursday. He picked up his seventh triple of the season in the sixth inning.

Juan Jerez
Jerez hadn’t played first base in his professional career up to this season, and he’s actually handling it fairly well, making some great stops here and there. He’s struggled with the bat, but has come through here and there. One of those cases came on Thursday. He was credited with a double, eventually getting to third on the throw.
Juan Jerez with a RBI double for Bradenton. He ends up at third on the throw. Looks like he took a baseball to the back of the head as he was sliding into third after his helmet came off. He said in the game. #LetsGoBucs pic.twitter.com/X6tf5r2SFY

Anthony began writing over 10 years ago, starting a personal blog to cover the 2011 MLB draft, where the Pirates selected first overall. After bouncing around many websites covering hockey, he refocused his attention to baseball, his first love when it comes to sports. He eventually found himself here at Pirates Prospects in late 2021, where he covers the team’s four full season minor league affiliates.
