Daily Video Rundown

Bubba Chandler

Chandler was back in the lineup after making his Bradenton pitching debut on Friday. He came up big when it mattered, as his sacrifice fly not only won the game for the Marauders, but was the first run of the game between the two teams.

Matt Fraizer

It took some time, but Matt Fraizer is finally starting to string together some consistent at-bats. Now going into the break, Fraizer has a batting slash of .321/.390/.491 in the month of July, hitting his fifth home run of the season.

Jared Triolo

After not hitting any home runs in the first two months of the season, Jared Triolo hit three in June and hit his first of July on Sunday.

Termarr Johnson

With the fourth pick of the 2021 MLB Draft, the Pirates selected infielder Termarr Johnson. One of the better hitters in the draft, Johnson was announced as a shortstop but figures to eventually slide over to second base.

Thomas Harrington

The righty from Campbell University was the Pirates next pick at 36, going from a former walk on, to being one of the top ranked college pitchers in the draft.

Hunter Barco

The lefty had Tommy John Surgery in May, but the Pirates liked him enough to take him with the 44th pick of the draft. He was ranked 45th on MLB Pipeline.

Anthony began writing over 10 years ago, starting a personal blog to cover the 2011 MLB draft, where the Pirates selected first overall. After bouncing around many websites covering hockey, he refocused his attention to baseball, his first love when it comes to sports. He eventually found himself here at Pirates Prospects in late 2021, where he covers the team’s four full season minor league affiliates.
