AFL Recap: Saguaros Win with Three Pirates in the Lineup

The Surprise Saguaros won 9-3 on Tuesday night. They came into Wednesday’s Arizona Fall League action with a 12-7 record and 11 games left on the schedule. Nick Gonzales, Henry Davis and Jacob Gonzalez were all in the lineup for this game. Recap below.

Gonzales batted third and played second base. He singled on a fly ball to left field in the first. He flew out to center field to end the third, then walked in the fifth. Gonzales grounded out to shortstop to end the seventh. He finished 1-for-3 with a walk. He now has a .273 average and a .908 OPS this fall.

Davis batted sixth and he was behind the plate. He walked in the second inning, then flew out to center in the fourth. He grounded out in the sixth, then lined out to center field in the eighth. He finished 0-for-3 with a walk. He has a .278 average and a .929 OPS.

Gonzalez batted eighth and played first base. He struck out swinging to end the second inning. He lined out to left field to end the fourth, then lined a single to left field in the sixth. He finished 1-for-3. He has a .158 average and a .466 OPS.
