Winter Leagues: Another Two-Hit Game for Liover Peguero

Two days of action in winter ball for the prospects of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Wednesday

In the Dominican, Osvaldo Bido made his second start and allowed one run over three innings on four hits, two walks and two strikeouts. He tossed three shutout frames in his debut last week. He threw 57 pitches on Wednesday night, with 34 going for strikes.

In Mexico, Fabricio Macias went 1-for-4 with a double and his second stolen base.

Jared Oliva went 0-for-3 with a walk.

Thursday

In the Dominican, Liover Peguero had his fourth straight game with two hits. He went 2-for-4 with a run scored, giving him a .289 average and a .729 OPS. It was not a good day on defense for him, as he committed two errors.

In Mexico, Fabricio Macias went 2-for-4 with two singles and two RBIs. He’s now hitting .269 this winter in 13 games.

Jared Oliva went 1-for-4. He has a .296 average and a .619 OPS in 14 games.
