Welcome to the Pirates Prospects daily video rundown, where we pull some of the top videos of the Pittsburgh Pirates across the internet.
Mitch Keller
The righty put together a really solid outing on Tuesday, and was once again able to flash his cutter, getting a swing and miss on this hitter.

Lolo Sanchez
On what turned out to be his last game in major league camp, Sanchez made it count, belting his first home run of 2023.

Ji-Hwan Bae
Bae played in his first game at shortstop this spring, and although he botched a throw later on, he also made a great play in the second inning behind Keller. He hasn’t moved around that much early on, playing second base up to this point.

Anthony began writing over 10 years ago, starting a personal blog to cover the 2011 MLB draft, where the Pirates selected first overall. After bouncing around many websites covering hockey, he refocused his attention to baseball, his first love when it comes to sports. He eventually found himself here at Pirates Prospects in late 2021, where he covers the team’s four full season minor league affiliates.
Yesterday, I complained about the lack of urgency and running hard. I couldn’t have been happier watching yesterday’s game. Cutch beating out an infield grounder was encouraging. At age 36, he seems faster than expected. My favorite play was Nick Gonzalez scoring from first on what looked like a routine fly ball.
Once again Carmen Mlodzinski continued to impress. Burrows looked good, regardless of the statline. Nick Gonzales is starting to stand out to me as the real deal, if healthy.
I loved Bae’s range, hands and defensive instincts but I don’t see the arms strength for ss (other than limited fill in time here and there.) or even outfield. He is a 2b guy.
What’s the deal with all the dropped fly balls? Looks more like church league co-ed softball out there than the major leagues.
Spring time Florida wind and sun…that’s it. Burrows got screwed on the earned runs, IMO, that should be an error on Reynolds
Man Bae seems to make all the plays, at either 2nd or short and the arm is not that bad.
Love the DVR features, AM.
Thank you! Regular season is a lot easier to find stuff to post. Ready for the season to start at this point anyways
