PROFILE
The Pirates signed Scotti out of Italy in spring 2016.  He throws a fastball that runs 89-92 mph.

Scotti got into five GCL games, all in relief.  The numbers obviously weren’t good, but for a European playing pro baseball just after his 18th birthday, they probably weren’t so bad.

Scotti returned to the GCL and didn’t make much progress, despite the ERA.  Among other things, he walked twice as many as he struck out.

There isn’t much evidence yet that Scotti could pitch at a higher level.
