WTM’s PLAYER PROFILE

Rosado is a big third baseman who, at least in the very early stages, is reminiscent of Edwin Espinal.  He appears to have a good bat and may or may not develop power.  He doesn’t run well and there could be some conditioning issues.

2018
DSL:  287/377/368, 171 AB, 11 2B, 1 HR, 22 BB, 51 K, 0-2 SB

Rosado hit well in his debut, although with a very high K rate and only modest gap power.  For some reason, he had almost no at-bats — just 22 — against LHPs, so there’s nothing useful that can be said about his platoon split.  Rosado played third exclusively, committing 14 errors for a fielding percentage of .878.  That’s obviously not good, but it’s not unusual for the level.

2019
R:  227/306/359, 128 AB, 7 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR, 14 BB, 43 K, 0-1 SB
A-:  000/143/000, 6 AB, 1 K

Rosado went initially to West Virginia until the draftees arrived, then went to the GCL.  He split his time there between first and third, and served a little as DH.  He struggled defensively at third, with an .860 fielding percentage.  He also had trouble making contact at the plate, although he showed more power than the previous year.

Rosado could go to Bristol in 2020.
