Quintanilla, when he signed, had good command of his pitches.  The hope is that he’ll add some muscle.

Quintanilla pitched only a little in his debut, all in relief.  The ERA was more impressive than the other numbers, except the K rate.

The Pirates sent Quintanilla back to the DSL and he started eight of his ten games.  Despite the higher ERA, he improved a lot over his first season.  He got the walks way down and opponents batted just .210 against him.

Quintanilla should be in the FCL in 2023.
